Apologies for not replying to your comments last week, but my holiday
ended up being almost completely internet free. But, as always, thank
you for posting!
Hope you like the double page. I tried to fit the action into a single
page, but it really didn't work, so I ended up completely re-drawing the
bloody thing. :P
This week's Spiderforest Comic of the Week is Kaspall, so I'm going to
take the opportunity to plug something I've been meaning to mention for
a while ... my sister's fiction blog. Those of you who have read 'Spare
Keys for Strange Doors', may remember that Amy wrote the last story (Pest
Control), and if you've been following Kaspall for a while, you might
also remember her old site 'Sinister Fish'.
This is the blog of Alice Chambers, a woman on her thirties, who is
trying to deal with the various problems life has thrown at her -
including a damaging incident in her past, colleagues who didn't get the
memo about 'personal space', the search for beauty and meaning in every
day life, and friends who only occasionally get her thrown out of the local supermarket by doing impromptu
karaoke numbers in the biscuit aisle.
In my opinion, this current project is one of Amy's best. Each update is
pretty short, so you always feel like you've got time to give it a read.
They cover an entertaining variety of subjects and tones, so you never
know quite what you're going to get - could be jokey, meditative, or
unsettling. Plus, Amanda is the best, and steals every scene she's in.
Please give it a try!
